Spark Plug replacement on the 1967 Vespa Sprint

Spark Plug replacement

Yikes! talk about a pain to choose seems there are a billion different options here

Plugs I pulled from the Bikes were:
  • Red - NGK BP6ES
  • Blue - Champion J8C
I also Noted that the box the bikes came with had a
  • Bosch Platinum WR8DP Plug

The following I found online didn't work
Online I found a site that recommends the following
  • NGK B8HS ( High Speed and High Heat operation)
  • NGK B7HS (Lower Speed and Lower Heat)
The Vespa Manual

According to the Manual I found online

Spark Advance: 22 Deg + or - 1 Deg before TDC

Plug Types
  • Marelli CW 225 N-T AC 43 F
  • Champion L86
  • Bosch W225 T1
  • KLG F70 or F75
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the end I used Champion J8C
